Employee Frequently Asked Questions

What will the process be for current nursing students to get jobs?  –  November 20, 2008
All students, temporary staff, volunteers and contractors who are interested in working for Baptist Health Care on a permanent basis should fill out an online application at: www.eBaptistHealthCare.org. All applications are reviewed by Human Resources. Those applications that meet minimum qualifications are referred to hiring managers to be reviewed for any current openings in the department.
What does “Premium Wages” mean?  –  November 20, 2008
Premium wages or Premium pay are terms used to define pay practices other than the base hourly pay practices of an employer. Typical “premium wage” practices include, but not limited to, such things as shift differential pay, call back pay, beeper pay and holiday pay.
Will there be orientation to units or tours of the West Florida facility before departments are moved there (e.g. location of time clocks, entrances for staff, etc.)?   –  November 20, 2008
We are in the process of designing a process for orienting staff that may move to both the new Baptist Hospital North or Baptist Medical Park – Downtown campus. The goal will be to help staff become familiar with the facilities and operations within their departments, focusing on matters that are important to staff as well as ensuring the consistency and quality of care our employees want to deliver.
Where will the Business office be?  –  November 20, 2008
At this point, it is likely that the consolidated business office for BHC will remain at the current location on the downtown campus of Baptist Hospital.
Where will radiology by on the downtown campus?  –  November 20, 2008
After the transition is complete, outpatient radiology services (MRI, CT, diagnostic radiology and ultrasound,) will be performed in the current Radiology Department. Women’s Services (mammography screening and DEXA scanning) will remain in the Women’s Center on the ground floor of the Baptist Medical Towers 1.
Are there plans to do any improvements to the downtown campus?  –  November 20, 2008
The current plans include a expansion and renovation of the Behavioral Medicine Center that will provide 95 beds for the care of adults, adolescents and children. We are working with the Campus Redevelopment Council to develop plans that enable this campus to meet future community needs.
What happens if Baptist Health Care does not complete the acquisition of West Florida Hospital?  –  November 19, 2008
Baptist Health Care is committed to the acquisition of West Florida Hospital and plans to proceed with the transaction when the market permits.
Will our move have any impact on the traffic flow on Davis Highway?  –  November 19, 2008
The acquisition of West Florida Hospital will result in the shifting of a number of acute care services to the West Florida site, which likely will increase traffic for the Davis Highway area. However, highway construction projects will be mostly complete and should better able to handle traffic volumes by the time the transition occurs.
Will we have a place to eat that will allow us to swipe like the cafeteria does? Or will we only be able to have delivery from some place like Sunshine Deli. There are a lot of us in the Business office who eat in the cafeteria every day.  –  November 19, 2008
We are currently evaluating some options for providing food to our visitors and staff at the downtown campus after the full transition. We are not yet sure if staff will be able to continue to use payroll deduction for purchasing their food, but the final plans will be communicated once they are finalized.
I have heard from a couple of people outside the hospital that all WFH employees will receive a 15% across the board cut in their pay. Is this true? How do we to respond to these statements?  –  November 11, 2008
The best ways to respond is to do what you did – go to the source of accurate information (this Expansion Web site) – and do so periodically as we are continuously providing information and responding to questions until we have permission to meet with West Florida employees directly. In a question and answer posted in early October, we responded to a similar question:
“Baptist Health Care recently performed a market review of base pay to ensure all salaries were aligned with the markets where we compete for employees. As a result, we do not plan to reduce the base pay of any West Florida employees who remain in their current positions after the acquisition date... While there are some differences between the Baptist Health Care and West Florida premium pay practices (shift differentials, call pay, and holiday), we will continue to analyze needs before making any decisions in this area. The 90–day period will be used to decide how to best handle these differences.”
This continues to be our plan. Please encourage your fellow employees and others who are interested to visit BHCexpansion.org for accurate answers and to post new questions that are important to them.
What is the update of the transition?  –  November 11, 2008
We continue to make progress in completing the acquisition of West Florida Hospital. We have successfully met each of the requirements needed to make the acquisition and continue to plan for a quick and smooth transition. As a result of current instability in the credit markets that you have read and heard so much about, our financial advisors have suggested we briefly delay financing until the financial marketplace stabilizes.
Will medical insurance contributions go down with the addition of a large number of WFH staff to the medical plan?  –  November 11, 2008
No. The Baptist Health Care employee medical plan is self funded, which means the cost of our plan is based on actual claims experience from our employees and their dependents. We pay Blue Cross Blue Shield an administrative fee for processing our claims. Adding more employees to the self–funded group does not drive down costs like it might in a fully insured plan — though it does help to smooth out actual claims experience. In the future, we may be able to negotiate lower administrative fees, but that will only have a small overall impact on cost.
I understand that the hospital has closed down 4–West because of the transition. Why?  –  November 11, 2008
Although not frequent, it’s not uncommon for nursing units to consolidate when patient census is low, commonly this time of year. This unit was consolidated with another unit for about a week and is now reopened. This decision was not related to the planned acquisition, but to adjust for lower volumes that week while ensuring safe, quality patient care.
Has any thought been given to incorporate "going green" into new construction or renovation? It would be a fabulous opportunity for Baptist to show the community that not only do we care about their health, but the environment as well.  –  October 21, 2008
Construction plans are in development and as we learn more about recycling related to renovation and construction projects we will share that information. Meanwhile, Baptist Health Care is leading in the initiative to recycle at the downtown facility as one of the many ways we care for our community. Numerous containers are in place throughout Baptist Hospital Downtown to accept single stream recyclable items. The initiative will spread to other BHC facilities moving forward. For more information about recycling at Baptist Hospital, call Sandy Hernandez, director, environmental services at (850) 434-4751.
What happens if the closing date is delayed?  Does that mean the deal is off?  –  October 21, 2008
HCA and BHC are both committed to completing this transaction and it is our expectation that it will happen as soon as possible.
We would like to know more about what Baptist operations and staffing will look like once the acquisition is complete. When will we receive this information?  –  October 21, 2008
We continue to gather information and develop plans and are eager to share them. While we have received FTC approval, we must continue to operate both hospitals independently until the acquisition is final. That said, we are working with both HCA and West Florida leadership to find the best timing and process for sharing more specific information.
I’m a West Florida Director. I and my fellow Directors recently met with a number of Baptist Vice Presidents. Since then, we’ve not heard anything. What does this mean?  –  October 21, 2008
At the earliest point that it is appropriate for us to make offers to WF staff, we are eager to do so. We already know that there are West Florida leaders we want to be a part of our shared future – some in currently vacant leadership roles and others in roles similar to current positions. We hope that we will soon have the ability to bring important employment clarity to the many great people we have recently come to know.
What is the process that is being used to decide who will stay?  –  October 21, 2008
Baptist’s human resources department has developed a multi–phased process that we are please to share.
We plan to:
  • Develop a new organizational structure.
  • Interview West Florida Directors.
  • Evaluate candidates for new or vacant roles in the new structure.
  • Extend offers to those who best fit new or vacant roles.
  • Interview, evaluate and select Baptist and West Florida employees for post-consolidation roles.
  • Extend offers to those who best fit post-consolidation roles.
  • Assess Baptist and West Florida employees for (and their interest in) other leadership or staff roles.
  • Extend offers to those who express interest in and are qualified for alternate roles.
  • In conjunction with identified leaders, interview, evaluate and select staff for both interim and post-consolidation roles based on skills and performance record (considering length of service as a tie–breaker when all else is equal).
  • Determine those staff roles and staff that need to be maintained on an interim basis until the consolidation occurs.

We are hopeful that we can move forward with this process as soon as possible. Our goal is to create a team that is the “best of the best.”
If one of my peers receives an offer of employment, and I don’t hear anything at the same time, does that mean I won’t be offered employment?  –  October 21, 2008
No. As we follow our multi–phased process, we will first seek to address new or vacant positions within our planned post–acquisition structure. Once those positions are finalized, we expect to be able to present other opportunities to both Baptist and West Florida leaders and staff.

We pledge to do everything we can to honestly communicate with you about your opportunities for either interim or longer term opportunities within Baptist. Please don’t assume anything allow rumors to influence you. Please share your questions and concerns with us and we will give you the most accurate information possible.
I am interested in purchasing some of the Treasury Bonds that will be sold to pay for the planned purchase of West Florida. Is that possible?  –  October 7, 2008
We have posed this question to the investment bank that is handling the sale of the bonds to see if this would be possible in some form. We will advise employees once we know. To clarify, these bonds are not backed by the U.S. treasury, but will be issued based solely on the creditworthiness of Baptist Health Care.
What type of screenings and background checks will current West Florida employees be asked to undergo?  –  October 6, 2008
Employment packets were sent to West Florida employee homes in September and included consent forms for background screenings and the disclosure of information as needed for all background checks. A drug and alcohol screening will be done at West Florida immediately following closing. Further, detailed information on this will be provided at a later date.
How will the West Florida and Baptist employees be integrated?  –  October 6, 2008
Baptist Health Care is currently working with West Florida leaders to develop a process that will help address both short-term and long–term staffing needs. Some functions will integrate sooner than others, and it is important for employees to understand that the integration process will continually evolve throughout the transition. We will do our best to keep all employees informed as transition plans solidify. The key goal in this process is to identify those employees at both facilities who are best qualified and motivated to help our combined organization realize its potential through high performance and an unwavering commitment to our core values and standards of performance.
Will anyone lose their jobs?  –  October 6, 2008
Baptist Health Care acknowledges that the acquisition of West Florida will result in the elimination of some duplicate positions, which is why we are committed to developing a transition plan that is fair and consistent. Employees that do not have the opportunity to remain in their current positions will be encouraged to review and apply for any open position for which they are qualified for within Baptist Health Care.
I’ve heard that West Florida employees will be terminated after the initial 90-day period. Is that true?  –  October 6, 2008
We’ve heard that rumor too. The acquisition agreement that HCA negotiated with Baptist Health Care has provisions that ensure that: (1) all West Florida “Retained Employees” receive their pay in the same manner as was in effect on the date of the acquisition closing for a period of 90 days and (2) Baptist Health Care meets the requirements of the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN Act) for applicable losses of employment of any of its employees during that period.

There is nothing in the acquisition agreement that requires the termination by Baptist Health Care of any employment of its current or new employees during or after the initial 90-day period. As noted above, we are working to (1) develop staffing needs for our combined operations and (2) identify the best employees at both West Florida and Baptist Health Care to help us realize our combined mission. So far we are finding great talent at West Florida and fully expect to see a combined workforce that is a good mixture of West Florida and Baptist Health Care employees.
Will West Florida employees have to go through a new employee orientation class?  –  October 6, 2008
Baptist Health Care is currently developing Employee Forums to help orient and welcome all West Florida staff. These forums will celebrate employees and the commonalities of both organizations and share specific employee information. Employees will be invited to attend these forums within the first few weeks following the closing.
Will I have the same supervisor after the acquisition?  –  October 6, 2008
Baptist Health Care is currently focusing on how Directors and Managers will be selected for both the transition phase and the longer term. Once that is determined, the focus will shift to frontline supervisors then to staff. We will continue to provide open communication throughout this process.
What is the dress code for Baptist Health Care?  –  October 6, 2008
The dress code policy will soon be made available for West Florida employees. However, for those areas that require uniforms, this matter is currently under review. We will communicate with employees about this as soon as possible.
May we continue to wear our West Florida logo uniforms and scrubs immediately after the acquisition? What information will be given to us regarding changes in uniforms? Will there be any financial assistance to help with acquiring new ones?  –  October 6, 2008
Employees can continue to wear their current uniforms upon closing. Over the initial 90–day period, department uniform colors will be confirmed, uniform fairs will be hosted and payroll deduction will be offered as a convenience to both West Florida employees and Baptist employees. More details will be communicated as soon as possible.
If I am on Leave of Absence at the time of transition how will my time be handled?  –  October 6, 2008
All employees on a Leave of Absence who are eligible for rehire with Baptist Health Care will be considered Baptist Health Care employees as of the acquisition effective date. Information regarding employment and benefits, including Leave of Absence status will be communicated directly to affected employees. Our Baptist Health Care Employee Handbook can be downloaded online for your convenience as well. Additional Baptist HR policies are being reviewed and will be communicated to the West Florida HR department soon.
If my department is relocated to another campus, will I be able to stay or transfer to my current campus?  –  October 6, 2008
If your position is transferred to the West Florida campus (or from the West Florida campus to the downtown campus), and you do not wish to go there, we encourage you to review all of the open positions within Baptist to consider opportunities for which you are qualified and would like to be considered.
Will employees’ salaries change as a result of the acquisition?  –  October 6, 2008
Baptist Health Care recently performed a market review of base pay to ensure all salaries were aligned with the markets where we compete for employees. As a result, we do not plan to reduce the base pay of any West Florida employees who remain in their current positions after the acquisition date.

While there are some differences between the Baptist Health Care and West Florida premium pay practices (shift differentials, call pay, and holiday), we will continue to analyze needs before making any decisions in this area. The 90–day period will be used to decide how to best handle these differences.
Will West Florida employees still get pay raises?  –  October 6, 2008
Baptist Health Care’s pay practices will be extended to West Florida Employees joining Baptist. Merit adjustments will continue to be awarded based on employee performance. These adjustments currently occur as of an employee’s anniversary date. Our historical practice of setting employee pay adjustments based on both current competitive market conditions and our annual budget potential will continue to be the driving forces in future pay adjustments.
How will Baptist Health Care handle sign-on bonus balances?  –  October 6, 2008
All recruitment sign–on bonuses were made with West Florida and/or HCA. West Florida employees should check with their current employer about any contractual obligations they may or may not have for repayment. Baptist Health Care did not assume these contracts.
How will the last check from West Florida or HCA be handled?  –  October 6, 2008
Final checks with West Florida will be processed as usual with direct deposits and come to the facility the same as previous paydays.
It is my understanding that Baptist Health Care does not have holiday pay. How will West Florida employees be paid for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s?  –  October 6, 2008
In accordance with the acquisition agreement terms negotiated by both Baptist Health Care and HCA, the current pay practices for West Florida employees, including holiday pay practices, will remain in effect for the first 90 days following the acquisition effective date. We are currently evaluating how to address this and other practices after the initial 90–day period for our all Baptist Health Care system facilities and will advise employees as soon as possible of any changes.
I am currently working at both Baptist Health Care and West Florida. What will be my continuous service date once the transition takes place?  –  October 6, 2008
Baptist Health Care will accept the date that benefits the employee with the most tenure.
Will PTO be paid at 100 percent at the end of employment with Baptist Health Care?  –  October 6, 2008
If the employment of West Florida employees should end after the acquisition effective date, Baptist Health Care will pay unused accrued PTO balances at 100 percent of each affected employee’s base pay rate.
I have requested vacation time over the next several months and this has been approved by my supervisor. Will Baptist Health Care allow me to continue with these vacation plans?  –  October 6, 2008
Baptist Health Care will honor vacation requests that have been approved by West Florida management during the first 90 days. After the acquisition effective date, any new time off requests will be governed by the Baptist Health Care Paid Days Off policy which states, "This program is designed to provide maximum flexibility in scheduling paid time off from work for full–time and part–time staff while maintaining responsible budgetary and staffing controls." This approach will allow Baptist Health Care to ensure patient safety and the continuation of superior and compassionate care.
I currently have TriCare. Can I switch to the Baptist BC/BS plan without pre–existing conditions?  –  October 6, 2008
Your coverage period under TriCare will count toward meeting the one–year pre–existing period under the BHC health care plan. This means that if you have been covered under TriCare for one or more years, you will be not subject to any pre-existing condition exclusions. You will need to provide proof of your coverage dates with TriCare to the Baptist Health Care Benefits Department.
How will our Baptist Health Care employee benefits change as a result of the West Florida acquisition?  –  October 6, 2008
Baptist Health Care does not anticipate significant benefit program changes for the coming year. We will continue to benchmark our programs with other leading health care systems and evaluate how to incorporate these best practices in design and administration. We will review successful practices from West Florida’s current program just as we do with other practices across the country.
I am in the middle of school with approved tuition reimbursement. Will Baptist Health Care continue to provide assistance with my education?  –  October 6, 2008
Any tuition reimbursement that was approved for current semester classes prior to the acquisition effective date will be eligible for reimbursement. Future opportunities for education assistance will be covered under Baptist’s Life Long Learning program. Please refer to the Baptist Health Care Employee Handbook for more information.
How will repayment of scholarships with a work agreement be handled?  –  October 6, 2008
Scholarship contracts are being assumed by Baptist Health Care under the purchase agreement and will remain in effect, unless students have been individually contacted and given further instructions or information.
What's going to happen to Sunshine Garden Cafe?  –  September 5, 2008
“Plans are for Sunshine Garden Cafe to continue serving our many downtown Pensacola customers that include the BHC employees and visitors as well as many other area businesses and individuals.” David Bookman, Sunshine Garden Cafe.
Will Baptist Medical Park 9 Mile close following the acquisition?  –  September 5, 2008
No. Since it's opening in 2000, Baptist Medical Park has served the growing communities in north Pensacola, Pace and Milton. Conveniently located at Nine Mile Road and University Parkway, the medical park offers convenient access to more than 50 dedicated physicians. Services include Imaging (MRI, CT, X-ray, Dexascans and Mammography), Physical Therapy, Cardiology, Outpatient Surgery and Walk-In Urgent Care clinic; along with a variety of outpatient medical services. Following the acquisition of West Florida Hospital, the medical park will continue to offer all of these services with plans to grow to better serve the needs of the community.
Following the acquisition, what health insurance plans will be honored?  –  August 29, 2008

Will the Ambulatory clinic remaining at the Baptist downtown campus take non–insured patients?  –  August 26, 2008
Caring for the poor and uninsured in our community regardless of ability to pay is a hallmark of the Baptist Health Care mission. That will not change with our urgent care center at the Baptist downtown campus. Our team will continue to care for patients regardless of their ability to pay. Rendering care in an emergency department is more costly than any other entry point in the health care system, and as often pointed out, it frequently is used for non-emergency situations, specifically conditions that would be better served in a primary care setting. Having urgent care services in the downtown community will allow us to provide for primary care needs more effectively, in regards to wait times, personnel and cost, than is possible in the emergency department setting.
Will there be an on–site pharmacy remaining at Baptist Medical Park Downtown?  –  August 25, 2008
We plan to maintain a pharmacy on this location to serve over 1,000 employees on this campus, patients being treated at the future urgent care center and for the patients of those physicians who will continue to practice in our Towers and surrounding offices.
Will the Baptist Credit Union still be downtown?  –  August 25, 2008
According to the Baptist Regional Medical Federal Credit Union, the credit union will maintain services at the Main Downtown Medical Park while planning to also provide onsite services for employees at the new Baptist Hospital located on the future Davis Highway campus.
How is Baptist addressing issues such as severe governmental budget cuts in mental health while planning to construct a $50 million psychiatric hospital?   –  August 15, 2008
The construction of a new psychiatric hospital is a long-term plan necessitated by the age of the current facility, which is more than 50 years old. The impact of the state's recent budget cuts is a more immediate challenge. Those reductions, along with rapidly rising costs, have required Lakeview Center Inc. to reduce this year’s budget by $4.3 million.

By carefully reviewing current programs, processes, staffing and expenses and making necessary adjustments, Lakeview’s Behavioral Health Leadership Team has been able to minimize, as much as possible, the overall impact on Lakeview Center’s mission and workforce. Continued vigilance in managing our resources will help this organization to remain fiscally viable.

The condition of the current psychiatric hospital and Northwest Florida’s critical shortage of inpatient psychiatric beds make it essential that a new psychiatric hospital be included in Baptist Health Care’s long-range planning. Construction of the new facility will not begin for at least five years.
How is Baptist planning to meet inpatient psychiatric care needs if the Pavilion at West Florida Hospital closes?   –  August 15, 2008
To better meet patient needs, we are currently adding 30 beds at the Baptist Behavioral Medicine Center by remodeling existing space on the second floor. When complete, the center will have 98 beds, which is slightly more than the present capacity of Baptist Behavioral Medicine Center and The Pavilion combined.
Is Baptist Health Care acquiring the Medical Center Clinic as part of the West Florida Hospital purchase?  –  August 11, 2008
The Medical Center Clinic is a separate facility from West Florida Hospital and will remain independent of the Baptist Health Care acquisition of West Florida Hospital. Many of the physicians who have practices at the Medical Center Clinic already have medical staff privileges with Baptist, and we look forward to building those relationships and providing more convenient access to patients.
Since West Florida Hospital is closing, will Sacred Heart be the only obstetrics hospital to provide deliveries?  –  August 11, 2008
Baptist Hospital’s obstetrics unit currently delivers about 1,200 babies annually. Once the Mother Baby inpatient unit moves to the West Florida Hospital location, we will continue to provide obstetrics services and expect more than 1,500 deliveries annually.
Will current West Florida Hospital employees need to reapply for their jobs?  –  July 18, 2008
We will combine the expertise, talent, and compassion of both the Baptist Health Care and West Florida Hospital employees into a unified team. The employees of West Florida Hospital will be welcomed into the Baptist family and will be credited for their continuous years of service to Hospital Corporation of America (HCA). Although formal job applications are not needed, the West Florida Hospital employees will have routine screening processes (background checks, drug tests, etc.) in assurance that the requisite Baptist Health Care quality and safety standards are met.Upon completion of the acquisition, current West Florida Hospital employees will automatically become members of the Baptist Health Care team.
How will West Florida Hospital employee benefits such as vacation time, seniority, continuing education and retirement be affected?  –  July 18, 2008
We look forward to providing West Florida Hospital employees with information about employment benefits once the acquisition is complete and we’re legally able to do so. Thank you for sharing your questions. We hear you and are working to provide you with answers to the questions that are important to you.
Since administration will be located downtown, will Mark Faulkner still be “walking the halls?”  –  July 11, 2008
Although Baptist Health Care corporate offices will remain at the main downtown campus, Baptist Hospital administration, including the administrator, will move offices to the Davis Highway/University Parkway campus. Keeping with Baptist’s culture of open communication, this team will continue to work and round with the Baptist Hospital staff at all campuses.
When will Baptist Health Care be able to communicate with West Florida Hospital employees?  –  July 11, 2008
Until the purchase is complete, anticipated to be toward the end of 2008, we are legally unable to initiate discussions with West Florida Hospital employees. While we are very anxious to work with this outstanding team, we need to honor these requirements and enable daily operations to continue with business as usual. We will continue to share updates and information on this Web site as quickly as possible.
Will there be severance packages for staff if it comes to that?  –  July 7, 2008
We have a severance policy that has been in place for years, and it covers employees from hourly staff members to management.
Will there still be food service available at the downtown location for staff?  –  July 3, 2008
Yes, we will have food service available at the downtown location for patients and staff.
How will current positions be affected by the acquisition?  –  June 27, 2008
While some overlap is expected with any combination of this size, we will seek to place talented employees throughout the entire organization. We acknowledge that the acquisition of West Florida Hospital will result in elimination of some positions. Many of these positions are duplicate positions; however, it is important to note that many of West Florida Hospital’s administrative duties that are currently being done out of our area will be brought back into the community. Significantly, with the current annual turnover rate, we anticipate attrition would cover a majority of positions that may be eliminated. Through growth and attrition Baptist Health Care typically hires more than 800 people per year. Additionally we anticipate the West Florida Hospital facilities will increase the number of job openings.

The workforce analysis will be ongoing, and we will share information with staff as soon as updates are known. Our staffing focus will be the same as it's always been: to ensure our patients that we have dedicated individuals with a passion to serve.

We ultimately anticipate an increase in the number of jobs in the community because of the construction and renovation work that will be part of this acquisition and transition. More good news is that by 2010, Baptist Health Care anticipates meeting or exceeding the number of staff currently employed at both organizations
Why is Baptist Health Care acquiring West Florida Hospital?  –  June 27, 2008
This acquisition is the smart choice to maximize efficiency in the delivery of health care services to help control costs and enhance the quality of life in our community. This opportunity ensures we can continue to meet the growing health care needs of the poor and uninsured—a hallmark of Baptist Health Care’s Mission.  Baptist Health Care will continue our award-winning quality of health care service to meet the growing demand of our community by expanding to more modern facilities.
What impact will this acquisition, and the resulting changes, have on the downtown community?  –  June 27, 2008
At Baptist Health Care we are excited about the prospects of the redevelopment opportunities for our downtown campus—the current Baptist Hospital will become the new Baptist Medical Park Downtown. We want to assure our downtown family, friends and neighbors that many important and substantial services will not change at this location and that we will continue to keep the corporate offices of Baptist Health Care here, as well as numerous other medical services. We will continue to serve patients at this location with diagnostic and imaging services, lab, walk–in urgent care services (along with primary care, this is a critical need for this community), the three Baptist Medical Towers and the Lakeview Center. This opportunity ensures we can continue to meet the growing health care needs of the poor and uninsured—a hallmark of Baptist Health Care’s Mission.

To help determine future development of the downtown campus, Baptist is establishing a Campus Redevelopment Council that will consist of local community members with experience in urban planning, community redevelopment, transportation and economics. Baptist Health Care will continue to be a good neighbor serving the needs of this community providing superior quality health care.
